SIMPLE PAST

This is for you to review the Simple Past in English.

In English the regular verbs add -ed to the base of the verb in the past.

work-- worked

If the verbs ends in "e" we only add -d to the base of the verb to form the Simple Past.

invite---- invited
If the verbs ends in "y" and this is preceded by a vowel we add -ed to the verb.

play --- played

If the verbs ends in "y" and this is preceded by a consonant then we change "y" for "i" and we add -ed.

study--- studied

IMPROVE YOUR ENGLISH

This blog is for you to improve your English at home or in the library or wherever you are.
You can be better at English if you read and listen a lot. This is something that we can't do during the class everyday, as we are quite a few in the classroom.
